BEEP
Have you ever in your life felt being stranded? It's when you feel like the world is turning and yet you're not moving forward. Like you're everyday living has become more or less a routine. It's the feeling that life gets you instead of you leading your life.
Lucky me in my 21st year alive, this time I have realized that I felt waking up, preaparing for work and then working was all that I was doing.Parang bummer na 'oo nga, I have work, so what?' 'Yong tipong pa-feel good lang (at least I have a work for now and after that what would become of me?gee..). If my mother had never been so persistent on asking me about my future plans, this 'pa-feel good' feeling wouldn't have dawned me. Basically, because I know for a fact that if I don't move a single muscle on this realization now, I wouldn't go places. No growth. No development. Stranded.
So for a start, since we just turned a calendar year,just to catch up, I'm setting up my own resolutions which hopefully I'd be able to pursue and yes I'm subjecting myself to a monitoring --- self-monitoring. Therefore, this has to be put into writing and perhaps I might ask some reliable persons, e.g. a family member or a close friend maybe to help me make these resolutions (yes, there's plenty of them!;p) into a success. To make these resolutions more feasible, it has to be clear, simple, direct, and positive.
Here it goes:
1. To sleep early; on bed by 11:00 PM, maximum allowance 12:00 MN.
2. Since I'm off to bed early, I should rise early too! Up by 5:00 AM, maximum allowance is til 5:30 AM.
3. No net surfing beyond 11:00 PM since this is one of the reasons why I stay up late at night.
4. To exercise for an hour daily! 30 minutes in the morning and the other half in the evening. (This has to be number 1 because I really want to lose weight. I want to be on the near normal of my BMI rather than verging on the largely normal scale.)
5. Accordingly, to have proper diet. Cut on carbs, fatty and junk foods.
6. To read the Bible daily and heartily (at least 2 minutes land daw sabi ni Father Leo will do.)
7. Hear mass weekly.
8. Pray frequently and do the rosary every week the least.
9. To read more books, three books at least in a month.
10. Take care of tootsie (to be introduced on my coming posts, hopefully) 24/7.
To be able to monitor thy resolutions, I have to do each of it for straight 21 days. According to a post from Mr. Jim Paredes' blog, in order for your resolution to be called a success, one has to complete the 21 days (no idea why 21, I think I have to reread that post.) straight. If you have lapses, you are to start from day 1 again until such time you reach your 21st. Whew!
SO HELP ME GOD!c;
