love ko to:CHIPPY!

i just thought of posting something for my fave junk and it's no less than CHIPPY. i'm not really a junkie person but if i were to buy some, chippy's on top of it, then next the chippy green(vinegar flavor) and blue(cheese). so chippy nga lahat. i love the Barbecue flavor next to the vinegar flavor. whenever i buy one, i refer to them by their colors, everyonelse does coz it's the easier way, right? if you haven't notice, every package comes with their marketing ad at the back of it together with the nutritional facts. it's been a habit of mine reading 'em while savoring a pack. here within the ad for the red flavor. read it and you'll go haha in the end. bow to my fave chippy!weee...i maybe get extra credits for doing this. hello to the jack 'n jill company!!;)

"Guess there’s just no explaining the craving for Chippy barbecue from Jack ‘n Jill. It could be the original crunch that makes it everybody’s favorite. Or it could be the taste of barbecue so rich, would you imagine we’ve given you even more? Maybe it’s the crunch and the flavor. Or the flavor and the crunch? But who cares?! Everybody just knows that when it comes to snacks, your instincts always cry out… Love ko talaga Chippy!"

oh yeah, i think i'm hearing someone screaming "chippy love ko!." Oh it's me!;p

GLOBE moments

Last august 23 I got a message from my phone network. And it says:
“Congratulations! We have rewarded you with 15 FREE local SMS, courtesy of the GLOBE Rewards Program. Thank you for being a loyal Globe subscriber.”
After a year of partnership with this network, I finally got a reward! Actually for prepaid users if you load more often for a month and reached their desired amount, I think it was 300 for a month, you get a reward such as that above. This means that I hardly get to a 300 a month. hahaha! I’ve never been an avid texter since I changed network. Mental telepathy na lang ako. Nagmahal kasi sila a week after I changed. When kaya next reward ko? Hmmm…tagal pa ta ata. Ha!
Another thing that amused me is their advertising text. Here’s one of them:
“From Globe: Pambili ng GAS! U can win P100K DIS WK! Dahil sa reload mo last 7//17, may entries ka na. Txt PERA to 2346! DTI3086. NoFreeInfo? Txt PTS STOP to 2346.”
So timely nga naman dahil weekly na nagtataas ang presyo ng gasolina. Hanep 100K panggaas lang. Wow naman! On the fourth of August, I got another one after ako nagShare-a-load to my classmate and this time it said ‘PANGNEGOSYO!.’ Okay yun, 100K pangnegosyo. Pwede na sari-sari store nyan. Then last Aug. 30, they sent me one but yet it said ‘Pangkabuhayan.’ It’s just the same with the previous one. I wonder why they never wrote ‘Pambili BIGAS,’ pwede rin yon. Timely for the price hike of rice this previous months! Ilang sakong bigas din yon! Naman! What else would be their next hirit? Pangbayad KURYENTE, pwede if you’re running a food chain. Do they amount to that? Hindi naman siguro. Ano pa kaya pwede? PangBAHAY, sa GK dami nang bahay nyan!
Any how I haven’t tried joining their promos and I haven’t known anyone who won from it. True or not, such promos and ads, yet again, reflect the socioeconomic status of most Filipino these days which the hanep marketing department of this network must have seen.
Hayz, makapagtext na nga…;p

INSEST:lang magawa..that's how i look for the moment.wla pa rin akong haircut.haba na ng hair ko!tsk3...

so it's been past a week or so since my last surf in the net. all i thought i was alone not updating my blog more recently but my fave bloggers were busy as well with their own lives preventing them from posting here. though i'm no like them but i too is a busy person.hehehe.

so much for the "me"..i'm actually posting something helpful. i got this forwarded message from a concerned friend in FS. now, i'm sharing it to everyonelse. i find it a big help!

THIS IS A GREAT IDEA!

> > > Isn't it true that we all carry our mobile phones with hundreds of names/numbers stored in its memory but yet nobody, other than ourselves, know which of these numbers belong to our near and dear ones?

> > > Let us for a moment create a scenario wherein we are involved in an accident or had a heart attack and the people attending us get hold of our mobile phone but don't know which number to call to inform our family members. Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored but which one is the contact person in case of an emergency?

> > > For this reason, we must have one or more telephone numbers stored under the name ICE (In case of Emergency) in our mobile phones.

> > > Recently, the concept of "ICE" is catching up quickly. It is simple, an important method of contact during emergency situations.

> > > As cell phones are carried by majority of the population, all you need to do is store the number of a contact person or person who should be contacted at during emergency as "ICE" (meaning In Case of Emergency).

> > > The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when they went to the scenes of accidents, there were always mobile phones with patients, but they didn't know which number to call.

> > > He therefore thought that it would be a good idea if there was a nationally recognized name for this purpose.

> > > Following a disaster in London , the East Anglican Ambulance Service has launched a national "In case of Emergency (ICE)" campaign.

> > > In an emergency situation, Emergency Service personnel and hospital staff would then be able to quickly contact your next of kin, by simply dialing the number stored as "ICE".

> > > Please forward this. It won't take too many "forwards" before every body will know about this.

> > > It really could save your life, or put a loved one's mind at rest.

> > > For more than one contact name simply enter ICE1, ICE2 and ICE3 etc

> > > A great idea that will make a difference! Let's spread the concept of ICE by storing an ICE number in our mobile phones today!

> > > Please forward to your all nearest and dearest.

Talking About Mah Name

here's my official first account here. this one has been posted already in my friendster blog. so i'll just repost it here coz i think this is a good intro entry for me here...;)

hiyaaahhh!!! Aloha mora!aw..ga-joke ai..okay, this was suppose to be an update of my ‘describe me’ part for my fs (short for friendster, dunno who started it all, nevertheless it’s an ease for everyone else whose into fs..me-grinning-look) account. But since it’s lengthy already for my name alone, I think people would just find it boring and make head notes like “the heck with it!” and the like, you know. Since I’m pretty sure no ones gonna read this one ‘coz, obviously, I don’t get any comments from here, (Yohooo! anyone from here? Hehehe..) i’ll just write for the purpose of entertaining myself and perhaps just to tire my head..

Here it goes…;p

I have loads of nick like palang, bebe, loveness, lei, lea-with-an-H-and-w/o-H, ness, lomonsod, maness, sexy, lion, baronessa, and sa-mga-di-ko-pa-alam-na-yon-na-pala-ang-tawag-nila-sa-akin. There are eleven all in all excluding, of course, the ones I don’t know yet. See how the name lea ness sarabia lomonsod has evolved in a matter of 19 years and I bet there’s still more to come?!

Obviously, I really really do love my name. I find it unique and sweet but sad to say, I’m no longer officially alone with this name. Try surfing and see for yourself. Tsk! I wonder where she got her’s ‘coz mine is the combination of my father’s and mother’s name. {[(leopoldo-opoldo)+a]+space+(agness-ags)}= lea ness. taddaaahhh!! Sweet isn’t it? My father baptized me because if mama did it would have been a long one. I just forgot my could-have-been-long-name. The reason behind of papa choosing the name was more likely if not exactly said, “kapuyon tawon ug sulat ang bata ana.” And father was definitely right! Thanks pa! The same goes to my brother’s name. His is lee agn, pronounced with a silent ‘g’ making it ‘an’. Still a unique one. kudos to my father!hehehe..

When I’m called…..

Lea Ness Lomonsod – It simply pin points me! I don’t think someone in the world has the same first name and last name with mine not unless someone is claiming to be Ms. Me and that would be illegal! Anyhow, it’s my pride and honor to be called that way especially when I’m given credits say like for passing this, topping on this, receiving an award of that and this (hambogera!;p). Then the other way around when I’m summoned for anything wrong. It really is a shame in low situations.

Palang – I feel young because it reminds me of my childhood. This is my first nick given to me by my papa again. It is short for palangga, in English love. Oh yeah! Funny thing about it, it evolves into palanggana, as in basin in English, when I’m in battle with my kalaro during my youngster years.

Bebe - Sometimes my mother, kuya, and cousin Badjoy call me that way ‘coz I’m like the youngest of that them. So sweet of them! To my father, I’ll always be his palang. “Palang, palit sa sigarilyo didto beh.”

Loveness – Sweet. This was given to me by my elite group of friends because I’m the youngest in our family man daw and maybe it just fits my second name ness. Haha.. It reminds me of them. (I miss you guys!) What’s amazing is that even when they’re mad, they still call me that way. Love you girls! ;)

Lei – There’s a bit of masculinity with it. Hehehe.Unique din. If I were to change my name, I want it with a mannish touch like Alexis, Francis and Christian. May pagkaboyish kasi ako. My former classmates and friends in elementary and high school call me that way.

Lea/h – The with h reminds me of Mommy Elvs because she writes my name that way in her letters. Usually, people mistake my first name with an h especially when they don’t know how it’s rightly spelled. The leah has somewhat an American touch to me while I feel so Filipino with lea, credits to me Ms. Lea Salongga. It makes me proud with that name, feeling singer na rin ako. Hahaha.. Ito rin tawag ni mama sa’kin when she gets mad at me.

Ness -- It’s awkward at times. It reminds me of my mother ‘coz she’s the first ness. She’s called that back at home but now, I’m getting the hang of it. The BSN pipz nicked me with that name in order to make distinction from lea ness and lea marris. The latter gets to be called by her first name. Sometimes, it still catches my attention when they shout out lea when actually they’re referring to my behalf in class.

Lomonsod – Jupfer, a good friend of mine, sometimes call me that way. He would say, “baby lomonsod the daughter of mother lomonsod.” In return, I call him with his surname as well: baby balbutin! Hehe..(hello jupf!)

Maness – This name was created by lorraine, a classmate of mine during our sophomore year in college. She’s fond of making names and it’s awkward still because I don’t feel like ‘ma’. Haha..

Sexy – Depending on my state of mind, there would be times I feel elated with it and times that gets me thinking, “am I really that unfabulous, that fat?” but mostly I react like this, “ngilad na pud.” Gee… It started from my guy classmates way back sophie year. Pumayat daw kasi ako kaya sexy daw. Then the elation airs! Ayeee! Naaaah that was before!!

Lion – It stands for the king of the forest, so figuratively, I feel like I’m someone with authority. That’s only to me, perhaps to some they feel like I’m gonna eat them. Hahaha.. Junno, a classmate in BSN calls me this way. (hi Junno!)

Baronessa – Di ano pa? Feeling baronessa, regal in my own right (phrase picked somewhere else). I’m known that way with my Chill Group a.k.a the denim angels and some of them are my timawas, affably they obliged.

No matter how different my name could be, what counts most is how the way it’s used and perhaps who used it. The intonation used, the syllabication of the word and the stress are the factors that play in evoking variety of emotions. Syempre if joyful ‘yong tumatawag, eh di happy din ako. If sad naman ang approach, napapasad na rin ako. Ganun! If my crush calls me loveness, iba na yon. Kilig na daun! Pero pag di ko crush then naglove, ewan ko na lang. God bless!

Haba! Nakakabore na. bahala kayo!;p basta nag-enjoy ako!
